RIP! Bandish Bandits Actor Amit Mistry Dies Due to Cardiac Arrest, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sumeet Vyas & Other Celebs Mourn


Popular Gujarati and Hindi film actor Amit Mistry died on Friday morning after suffering a major cardiac arrest. It is true that he is no more. He passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest this morning. His manager Maharshi Desai told reporter, “I spoke to Amit’s mother. He was at his house in Andheri, Mumbai with his parents and passed away on the spot, before they could get any help.”

Amit, who was famous in the Gujarati theatre circuit and films, also did many Hindi films including Kya Kehna, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, 99, Shor In The City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Bey Yaar, A Gentleman among many others.

He had also appeared in TV shows like Tenali Rama, Woh, Ssshhhh…Koi Hai, among others. He was recently seen in the Amazon Prime web series Bandish Bandits.

Soon as the sad news of Amit’s death surfaced in media many celebs including actress Jacquline Fernandez, Kubra Sait, Sumeet Vyas and others took to social media to mourn his death.

Expressing sorrow over the actor's death '102 Not Out' director Umesh Shukla told News that, he is deeply shocked and saddened with the news, he confirmed that Amit passed away on Friday morning after suffering cardiac arrest. He use to live in the Juhu area with his aging mother and was declared dead even before being taken to the hospital.

The late actor's manager, Mahirshi Desai told reporter that, Mistry got divorced from his wife 10 years back and use to live with his mom in Mumbai who is now preparing for her son's last rites along with some near relatives.

Kubbra shared, “You’ll be missed on earth @Actoramitmistry. Condolences to the family.” Vir Das shared on Twitter, “I was ready to start shooting a show that Amit Mistry is an integral part of. His talent, his insight were a thing to behold. We’ve lost a truly wonderful artist today. Rest in Peace.”

Tisca Chopra shared, “Such a lovely guy, totally chill.. deepest condolences to the family .. RIP #AmitMistry.”
