Nokia C30, Nokia C20 Plus can work and bring big battery in

Nokia’s new phone family has X-series, G-series, and C-series now, instead of phones with numbers in their name. The new smartphones from HMD Global are more or less the same as the previous ones, but there are certain improvements that we have got to see. For example, the Nokia G20 and Nokia G10 have by far the biggest capacity in their batteries, 5050mAh, in the entire phone range.

The smartphone company may now be looking to take this to the next level. There is a rumour that an upcoming Nokia C30 smartphone may come with a 6000mAh battery.

As per a Weibo tipster, HMD Global may be working on at least two new smartphones and both of them may belong to the entry-level C-series. The C-series is the one that uses Android Go as the software on the phones, meaning the phones are very basic in terms of specifications. The two we are talking about are also likely to use the Android Go software.

One of these phones, the Nokia C30, may come with a 6000mAh battery, while another phone dubbed Nokia C20 Plus, probably the successor of the Nokia C20, is likely to have a 5000mAh battery.

The Nokia C30 battery specifically matches what the Nokia X50, another smartphone that is the rumour mill, is expected to have. But even though both the Nokia C30 and Nokia X50 may share the battery capacity, they are going to be poles apart in the price spectrum.

The Nokia X50 may be a premium phone with support for 5G and 108-megapixel cameras, while the Nokia C30 is for the masses. The Nokia C30 may also have a dual-camera setup but the sensor specifications are not clear at the moment. And finally, there may be a fingerprint sensor on the Nokia C30’s back.

The second phone that the tipster said is in the making is the Nokia C20 Plus. It will have a 5000mAh battery, if we go by his tip, and this would be a big bump in the specifications because the existing Nokia C20 has a 3000mAh battery only. The Nokia C20 Plus may also come with a dual-camera setup on the back.

But, again, we are not sure about the sensors at this point. The Nokia C20 has just one 5-megapixel camera on the back, so the upcoming Nokia C20 Plus, if launched, will definitely bring serious upgrades to entry-level customers. And while major departments, such as battery and camera, seem to be better than those on the Nokia C20, the Nokia C20 Plus may still miss out on the fingerprint sensor, which is strange.

HMD Global has not said anything regarding these two phones yet, but their debut seems imminent. In March this year, the Finnish company launched as many as six smartphones at what may be HMD’s biggest event in recent times. It launched the Nokia X20, Nokia X10, Nokia G20, Nokia G10, Nokia C20, and the Nokia C10.
