Xiaomi increase Redmi Note 10 Pro price, here is what it costs now

Xiaomi has increased the price of another Redmi Note 10 series smartphone. The Redmi Note 10 series was introduced in March this year and initially had three models Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max. The first two have already got expensive. The new Redmi Note 10 Pro price is now reflecting on Xiaomi’s official website. Redmi Note 10 Pro is the latest to receive a price hike for its 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.

The price hike is likely to be a result of increase in the cost of components used in smartphones as well as other electronic gadgets. Xiaomi had told India Today Tech in an emailed statement last week that the majority of components used in smartphones, smart TVs and other gadgets have got expensive. These include chipsets, display panels, display driver, back panels, battery etc.

As far as the Redmi Note 10 Pro goes, the smartphone now costs Rs 17,999 for the 6GB Ram and 128GB storage variant. The same was launched at Rs 16,999 in India. Meanwhile, the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant still costs Rs 15,999.

“This, coupled with an unprecedented increase in shipping charges has had an effect on almost all the technology players including us. While we have tried to absorb the increasing costs, some of our products have witnessed a price hike,” Xiaomi had said, while adding that its smart TVs will get costlier by 3 to 6 per cent. The trend is likely to continue in the coming days.

To recall, the smartphone features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The phone draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor and packs a 5,020 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Redmi Note 10 Pro features a quad rear camera setup with 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 118-degree field of view, a 5-megapixel super macro sensor with 2X zoom, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The smartphone competes with Redmi Note 10S, Realme 8 Pro and Poco X3 Pro, among others.
